About the Coalition:
With funding from the California Tobacco Control Program, the Kings County Tobacco Control Program (KCTCP) serves as the local lead agency (LLA) for Kings County. The Coalition strives to find innovative ways to bring change in Kings County through educational materials, cessation resources, and more. Community members interested in tobacco prevention and education activities within Kings County are encouraged to join. Our members are individuals committed to fighting the negative effects of tobacco and representatives of various agencies dedicated to helping our community.
Who we are:
The KCTCP works to create more collaborative opportunities to increase awareness of the impacts of tobacco and the deceptive marketing tactics of the tobacco industry. With funding support from the California Department of Public Health – Tobacco Prevention Program, KCTCP serves as the local lead agency (LLA) for tobacco prevention and control efforts in Kings County.
What we do:
KCTCP is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive tobacco control program for the county and establishing an active community coalition. Through community collaborations, youth engagement, and the implementation of policy campaigns, KCTCP actively works to achieve the following objectives.
